My production revolves around one characters day, which means a few locations may be needed. My first idea was to follow the character as they went about there college day. However since I cannot star in the production im going to use my frinewd as the main character

Life on mars

Life on mars is a British crime drama with sci-fi elements, which centres round a detective who has been sent into the 1970s after being hit by a car, after his colleague was kidnaped in pursuit of a suspect on a case. The main character then wakes up in the 1973listening to the same David Bowie song he was listening to in 2003, “life on mars” which gives the series its title.

Immediately after the main character wakes up the mise en scene has been completely rearranged with items from the 1970’s, in order to infer to the audience that the main character has time travelled. The main character then being to look around at the scenery whilst the camera pans around from his point of view in order to give the audience a comparison between the two sceneries which they were Introduced to.

After looking around the scenery the main character is greeted by a policeman who is wearing one of the old shaped hats, the main character is taken aback and is somewhat sceptical of the policeman’s authenticity even though he  himself is wearing 1970’s style clothing , this is shown in the way the characters facial expressions react to the police officer.

Since the protagonist was standing next to his own car when he got hit it is easy for the audience to assume that the car he wakes up to in the 1970s is his car, he even looks into the car to see what tape is playing and it’s the same David bowie song “life on mars” which leads the audience to infer that it is the protagonists vehical but since hes sceptical about whether he is really in the 1970s he denies that its his car, though when he wakes up he takes a good long look inside the car in as if the sudjest he finds it a coincidence that both his car 2003 and this 1973 car are/were playing the same song.

The 1970s police officers first line to the protagonist is “you seem to have a concussion” which is ironic because later in the episode we find out that in fact he is in a coma, however since the policeman says this it could lead the audience to believe that the scenes prior to him waking up in 1973 where just a dream and this leaves the audience in the dark questioning which reality is authentic.

 After looking at the protagonists police badge the officer then goes on to tell the protagonist that he has been transferred to Manchester which In itself is a play on words since he has essentially been transferred back in time. The protagonist then goes on to reply “this isn’t my car, I was driving a jeep” the officer replies “a military vehical?” which helps to give the audience a sense of time as the jeeps were not sold as normal cars back in the day.

The protagonist then asks for his mobile, the officer replies “mobile what “ since in the1970s mobile phones had not been invented, the director uses serval plays on words in order to give the audience a since of timing.

dizze rascals music video for his song dream has several dark undertoning issued which are displayed through the use of puppets which somewhat desensitizes the audience to whats going on, dizzee even uses terminology which would usaully be assaited with children in order censor the explicty of what was going on, however in formation it was completley differnt, there was no direct storyline and the whole video felt abstract at first however with background knowledge on beyonce and on new orleans it opens  up some aspects of the video for the aduience, an example of this was where beyonce is seem sitting on a police car which is used to infer the fact that the police force is "sinking" in new orleans

beyonce does not pull the punches with her lyrics either with

The main story line of our product revolves around the murder of a basketball player while his team mate goes to the bathroom, the murder will take place from the perspective from the victims and the witness.  The main twist of our storyline is the fact that one of the dectives is the murder, in our story line we will try to elude to this twist without spoiling it at the end

In our trailer we will focus on the main murder which is where are main victim tre is murder whilst he practises basketball in the courts

dizzee rascal dream

dizzee's rascals music video for his song dream is quite intersting and unusaul as it does not follow the normal charecteristics of a rap video and tackles some serious issues including alxoholism and police brutality all whilst under the guise of an old school childrens program.

the video starts of with a well spoken white women asking the audience"should we see what dizzee is up to today", and this is incredibly nostalgic as this is how alot of childrens shows started in the 80's and 90's started off, dizzee then proceeds to jump out a jack in the box as the main chorus of the song which was sung by kids starts of.

dizzee begings explaing his old life before his come up and his story is illustrated using puppepts which tone down the serious aspects of his story including sexaul harrasment of the women who walk past him and his boys at the corner shop.

there is also the scene in which dizzee's two black friends are carry a tv and the police officer comes up and attacks them, the woman playing the piano looks troubled as the police hellicopters fly near her and she shows facail expressions of dismayhowever she did not intervein this is used to show how the upperclass of society turned and eye on minorities

fruitvale staion

The opening to fruitvale station is esentailly the ending of the movie which is quite and entruiging techniqe used by the director,this also imforms the audience that the film was based of real life ivents all together this sets the tone for the audience before they even delve into the film. fruitvale station essentailly tells the story of the last day in a mans life but in order for the director to help the audience connect with the charecter alot of aspects fleshed out and some things just didnt take place like the scene with the dog

one theme that was heavily inorperated into the movie was single mothers as both ocsars mum and his girlfriends mums fathers were not shown in the movie and at the end of the movie when oscar dies he makes his girlfriend a single mother.

Another aspect which runs through the film is Oscars past catching up with him, the audience does not know Oscar prior to the day in which the film's set however his past actions have a big effect on how his day goes and have an even larger affect on him getting killed, in the start of the film Oscars girlfriends references him cheating and we eventually see a flashback of Oscar in jail his jail time comes back to hurt him when a rival spots him on the train causing the comotion which gets him eventually killed

Canadian woman receives lifetime ban from the UK after failed social experiment claiming "Allah is a gay god" is put an end to by police

Lauren southern decided to perform a social experiment in the town of Luton which was apparently intended dismiss the right wing view that Allah does not accept gay people, she did this by setting up a stall in Luton town centre with several sighs and posters claiming "Allah is a gay god". The stall attracted a large amount of attention but most of it was negative responses from the local Muslim population.

After police where notified of the stall they told Mrs southerns group to take down their stall as it was seen as offensive to the local residents, personally I agree with the action the police took as though according to mrs southern it didn't have a negative purpose it still came across negative as she was calling someone's god gay.

All in all it Is unacceptable to travel to another country and call anyone populations god gay, especially if they are against homo sexuality, they could have worded there campaign better and stated Allah accepts gays however i Think they worded their campaign In order to stir up a negative view of London's Muslim community
