Stormzy was born Micheal omari on July 6 1993 in South London, he was raised in a Christian house hold by his single mum in Thornton heath.

He started rapping at 11 years old and used to have rap battles with older kids in his area or at his local youth club, stormzy grew up in a time where grime was a new genre and being dominated by artists like dizze rascal and Wiley.

Stormzys and his friends share the latest krept and konan tracks as stormzy is good friend's with the two and have since mad verry big tracks with stormzy such as "ask flipz" on krept an konans latest album 7 days

Stormzy got expelled from Harris academy south Norwood in year 8 however he had enough grades an  was intelligent enough to get into college, however he didn't want to leave his music behind. stomzy then mad the choice to go into engineering as a career but still kept up his music on the side, he then did freestyles and made songs independently growing his fan base over the years, he went on to realise his own studio album through his own music label merky records. after watching his friends krept an konan get a mobo for there work on the grime scene stormzy decided it was his time to have a go, in 2014 and 2015 he won the mono for best grime award he then went on to drop his most prominent breakthrough freestyle "shut up"
