AXE Sunar: Welcome to The Jungle - Novo Amor analysis

Enter the jungle analysis

The Avon enter the jungle advert starts of with a car doing several donuts which should be making a screeching sound however there is not much if any sound throughout the advert

Next a two planes pass overhead linear to each other suggesting that they go together which is coincidental that they fly together in the direction of the person going through the jungle

Once the main character looks down There is a large fog cloud in front of her which she proceeds to enter which signifies she is now entering the jungle, the fog signifies her uncertainty because u can't see through the fog which represents her not knowing of what she's getting into

The first group of people that come out the mist were a group of we built black males mostly wearing white t-shirts and a few were sporting gold chains the white t shirts where oversized and the group all had grimaced faces as they glared at the main character, there was even a dog with the group who was also sporting a gold chain as he barked at the viewer, this was to show how aggresive the group had been represented, the white shirts are used to emphasise how dark some members of the group were and they were bigger in order to make the males look bigger themselves

The main character then passes through the fog to a group of female dancers who are barely clothed and are all starring at the main character as they complete their routine which suggests she is their audience, the dancers are all wearing red skinny dresses as they dance, red often represents love or lust which is amplified by the ways the females are proactively dancing and angled.

Straight after the dancers the is a larger group of paparazzi snapping photos of the main character as she is beckoned in a limousine by an older man wearing a suit, the photographers then change their attention to the older man as he steps into his car continuously beckoning in the main character, however once the main character peers into limo she catches a glimpse of another group of women with stern faces sitting upright in the limousine, all the women have pearls round their neck like the chains round the black males necks to suggest they are trapped in something, as the limousine begins to move on the older male is the only person smiling in the whole limousine whereas all the women are either straight face or screw-facing.

The main character is then left alone with photographers who continuously snap shots of the women until she turns and sees a crowd of people running in the opposite direction with police following them on horses and a helicopter shinning down from above, the women the sees a group of masked dancers preforming an act as they preform people are being thrown out of the bar next to them through the door and through the window.

  1. As you have added the video into your blog it shows the reader what you're talking about which is good because it means they won't be confused and they will know what you're talking about. The analysis of the advert is good and you've gone into detail. I think you could change the background colour to make it look more interesting but overall it's pretty good.

  2. Well done Knuckles you have not only included a video of the advert, you have also screenshots to highlight what pacific scenes from the advert you are talking about. Also you have used good media terminology to describe the scenes you have highlighted.
