Maslows hierarchy of needs
According to mplypsychology.org "Maslows hierarchy of needs is a motivational theory in psychology comprising a five tier model of human needs, often depicted as hierarchical levels within a pyramid".
the bottom level/ tier 5 - physiological needs
these are the core things humans need to survive which includes bread water, breathing etc
tier 4 - safety needs
these cover things humans need for protection from the environment and other things such as predators and in some cases other humans
tier 3 - love/belonging needs
as the table progresses the need become more psychological rather than physical, tier 3 is about belonging to a group e.g. a family or a friendship group or loving a partner
tier 2 - esteem needs
these needs relate to how a person is treated which could boost their self esteem or could boost their confidence if they have been treated right by those around them
tier 1 - self Actualization
this need i based off the need to have self esteem and produce confidence without input from anyone else
