School girl able to buy bleach in newham

In Newham there have been 182 retailers who have signed up to a voluntary scheme to stop sales of acid's to anyone under the age of 21 however with the results of the sting has caused alarm and promoted the government to bring the plans forward to create a legislation prevent stores from selling corrosive acid's to anyone under the age of 21.
After the home office viewed the evidence they themselves stated that " that it was considering responses to its consultation on a proposal to ban sales of corrosive products to under-18s, and creating a new possession offence" this could lead to lowering the amount of acid attacks which London has been facing in recent years however I don't think the problem here resides in taking away the use of a weapon but the problem is with the youth of today.
It's the same way that we have 15 year olds getting drunk, stopping access to the one weapon won't stop the violence because If the people want a weapon they find one, they could start using lighters with deodorant cans or even animals next, the only way the government can stop the violence is through dealing with the root of the problem
